Etgar engineering was selected to manage the project, consisting of planning and constructing 23 Km of Acre (Akko) to Carmiel including the Gilon tunnels - the first long train tunnels in Israel on which all train tunnel standards are based.
The Challenge
This project included the construction of Gilon tunnels with a total length of 4.625 km, which include a large number of communication and safety control systems and are the first railway long tunnels in Israel. Preparation and publication of an international tender, management of a joint venture between Israeli and foreign companies, construction of railways, including command and control systems and their delivery for operation to Israel Railways, as well as the implementation of innovative systems used for the first time in Israel.

Strict project planning and management, expert planning, close control and supervision of construction, fast and efficient timeline, in addition to employing foreign consultants to plan, execute and manage the project in accordance with international standards.
